AELEIS is an exclusive new menswear design concept born from and inspired by New York City. Founded by Designer Philippe Trinh, AELEIS [pronounced “a-li-as”] collaborates with the city’s leading patternmakers, factories and artisans to produce a collection that’s uniquely New York.  Each piece is crafted from only the finest materials, infused with the vitality, color, and subtle – yet unmistakable – luxury of the city.

THE CONCEPT

AELEIS represents the diminishing art of the “Made In New York” trade. All garments are hand-constructed in New York’s famed Garment District, and reflect the city’s long-standing dedication to unsurpassed tailoring and quality. The result is a perfect fit – a superbly constructed, tangible product created by the skilled hands through which the original design passes.

PHILIPPE TRINH:

Philippe Trinh is the Founder and Designer of AELEIS. No stranger to New York’s famed Garment District, Trinh has created a style and concept that is unmistakably New York. Inspired by the city’s one-of-a-kind spirit – and featuring a unique domestic production process– Trinh’s work captures and conveys New York’s edge and energy with every stitch.

Prior to starting his own label, Trinh perfected his craft studying under such prestigious designers as Phillip Lim, where he developed his appreciation for impeccable fit, superb construction, quality and fine details. Trinh also clocked in time at Adam Lippes, R. Scott French and Perry Ellis Collection.  At Perry Ellis he spent three years designing for Perry Ellis Menswear Signature Fashion Shows.

Trinh holds a BFA in Menswear Design from Kent State University and currently resides in New York City.
